How I Started
For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to help people. I also really enjoyed working and saving money. I started babysitting when I was just a kid myself and began working as a lifeguard as soon as I was old enough. I loved saving and the feeling of looking at my checking account to see what I had accumulated. College hit and along with this some not so smart financial decisions (high interest rate credit cards). After attaining a degree in Finance, I knew it was time to turn my financial situation around. I focused hard on budgeting and paying down debt. This gave me a sense of control. During this time, I was working in financial services in the midst of the 2007-2008 financial crisis, which provided so much education. I was fortunate enough to work at a firm that valued financial planning and education. They encouraged me to begin CFP® coursework. In 2014, I became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and my appetite for financial planning grew. in my 16 years in the industry, I have had the benefit of working with people in many different financial situations. From budgeting and debt management to gifting and estate planning. At the end of the day, I am getting the opportunity to help people, which is what I am the most proud of.
How I Work
My reasons for becoming a financial professional are deeply personal. I repeatedly saw many friends and family struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. I am confident that with my understanding of personal finance, coupled with my training as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER TM, I can help people better prepare for the future. After 16 years in the business, I have developed a reputation for educating individuals in an easy-to-understand manner so they can grasp personal finance and use those concepts to pursue their financial objectives.
